My story is enlightening and tragic at the same time. Right after 4 years of college I had three offers on the table: One to work for an investment firm, one to work for a bank, and one to work for an insurance agency. My gut feeling told me to choose the insurance agency.

 After three years of 'drinking the Kool Aid,' I read two books that changed my life: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and To Be Or Not To Be Intimidated by Robert Ringer...to say the least my eyes were opened. I learned about the school of hard knockss during my years as a servant to others…It was my graduate program. I learned quickly and graduated with honors.

 Don’t get me wrong…I loved my college years. However many of the so-called business principles taught are not helpful in the business world. Soon I started studying direct response marketers…I mean the old stuff. Not the trendy stuff of today.

I learned the hidden gems of direct response marketing. I read every book I could get my hands on and soaked it up. This education changed my life forever and I will ever be indebted to Mr. Hill and Mr. Ringer.

I quickly changed my approach to advertising. The direct response marketing worked 80 years ago and continues to work today. It has been around for years, but so many people waste their money on ineffective advertising that does not work and that you can’t track.

I built my business around these principles and have helped many others do the same. I enjoy building my own businesses. I will also continue helping those that enter my inner circle of friends and family. Andrew Carnegie was a great example to me as is Warren Buffett. They did not apologize for having wealth, however they realized the power of giving back.

That is my goal: To give back with my knowledge, time and resources.

I’m the co-founder of Furniture Marketing Systems, and one of the Traffic Guys. Beside my obvious love for marketing and making my clients tons of money... I love to play basketball and water-ski. I enjoy traveling (Chile, Peru, The Amazon River, Machu Piccu, Hawaii, Mexico are some of my favorite spots) but I spend most of my spare time waterskiing at Lake Mead.

In fact I just recently returned from the beautiful Lake Mead last week.

I’m not a guy that’s been in the furniture industry for 20 years,
who’s view is tainted by the sameness that is plaguing this industry.

Nope.

What you’ll find with me is that am a RESULTS ONLY guy. (In fact, I've been accused many times of being to harsh because I have a hard time sugar coating the truth.)

A lot of people think I look too young to be dispensing sound business advice. And although I may look young, I’ve seen more real world business than most people twice my age. From the time I could walk I was running around my father’s boat trailer manufacturing plant. Dodging the sparks from the blow torch and shielding my eyes from the blinding light of the welders.

I spent summers “Punching Parts” this is where you sit in front of a machine and it stamps holes out of ½ inch sheets of metal. My good friend actually cut off his finger while using that same machine.

I’d sneak in to my dad’s business meetings with his family while they’d yell and swear at each other at the top of their lungs. (My grandfather actually chipped a tooth he was clenching his jaw during one of verbal fist fights!) I loved listening to their plans for expansion. I’ve watched and been involved with them as they’ve grown their company to the largest manufacturer in the entire western states.

My family and I gave birth to, funded and launched a company from a simple drawing on a napkin to a very successful manufacturer company. This whole business was built and still runs today from my own direct marketing pieces.
